Kat and Matt's wedding and reception were held at the Booking House in Manheim. A beautifully renovated 1884 warehouse that produced cigars. It is a unique venue with three floors of historic charm including thick wooden beams, original hardwood floors and exposed brick walls. There was plenty of room for the bridal party for preparations in their appointed suites. Kat and the girls were on the first floor in the spacious Bridal Suite. After Kat was ready, we did some beautiful bridal portraits with the amazing natural light coming in the large windows throughout the building. Matt and the guys were upstairs in The Crow's Nest Cigar Lounge and Man Cave. Matt and his groomsmen were living large smoking cigars and drinking whiskey. We had a lot of fun getting some cool shots with them. The railroad tracks are non operational on the weekend which allowed for some cool shots with the guys and later the bride and groom.
The bride and groom wanted to do their first look outside. It was a bright sunny and brisk January day. Kat and Matt kept each other warm. Their excitement was contagious as we laughed off the cold. The bridal party and family formals were done inside in a classical timeless fashion.
The ceremony had a beautifully decorated alter with flowers by Lancaster Flower Co. The rustic elegant ceremony had a warm cozy feel with the fireplace in the background. Rev. Theresa Gilberti said a wonderful wedding ceremony for the couple. Cherrywood String Ensembles provided ceremony and cocktail hour music.
After the ceremony, everyone adjourned to the first floor for cocktail hour. Rettew's Catering prepared delicious food with generous portions. The staff was very friendly and attentive to all the guests needs. DJ Andy M kept the crowd partying through out the night. It was a wonderful evening filled with awesome memories for everyone!
We wish Kat and Matt many years of happiness.
